Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
There will be plenty of big Group feature races in the coming months with the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg beginning next weekend and the Country Classic Final at Dubbo this Saturday night, but there are also plenty of other big races each week on the calendar around the State.
It’s a massive week this week and we commence at Wentworth Park on Wednesday March 22 with a 520m Wentworth Park Battlers worth $4,000m to the winner.
At Goulburn on Friday March 24 we have 350m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $2,000 final.
At The Gardens on Saturday March 25 we have 515m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $3,000 final and then the big one begins at Wentworth Park that night with 520m Group 1 Golden Easter Egg Heats with a $300,000 final.
On Sunday March 26 at Grafton we have 450m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $5,000 Final. This is also an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 450m & 660m.
At Dubbo on Monday March 27 we have 318m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 final and 318m 4/5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 final.
On the same night at Maitland we have 400m Non Grade Heats with a $5,000 final.
At Nowra on Monday March 27 we have 365m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 Final.
Then finally on Tuesday March 28 at Bulli we have 472m 0-1 Win Heats with a $4,000 final and at Gosford an 842m Non Grade Marathon worth $7,200 to the winner.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
