Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
There will be plenty of big Group feature races in the coming months and we have the Temora Cup final this Sunday, but there are also plenty of other big races each week on the calendar around the State.
It’s a massive week this week and we commence at Richmond on Wednesday March 15 with 401m Maiden Heats with a $1,500 final.
At Casino on Thursday March 16 we have 411m 4/5th Grade Heats with a $3,060 final, while at the Gardens on the same night we have 400m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $2,000 final.
At Goulburn on Friday March 17 we have 440m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final and the meeting will be an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 440m.
St Patrick’s Day will be a big day of racing. At Richmond we have 401m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,500 final, at Wagga 400m 1-3 Win Heats with a $2,500 final and at it’s a huge night with the Maitland Cup Final to be run and 400m Non Grade Dogs Only worth $4,000 to the winner, 400m Non Grade Bitches Only worth $4,000 to the winner and a 565m Non Grade worth $7,200 to the winner.
On March 18 at the Richmond Straight we have Maiden Heats with a $1,500 final.
The big night will be at Dubbo on March 18 for the GRNSW Country Classic Final. We also have a 744m GRNSW Marathon worth $10,000 to the winner.
At Grafton on Sunday March 19 we have 450m 5th Grade 1-2 Win Heats with a $4,000 final.
On Monday March 20 at Nowra we have a 520m Battlers Maiden worth $2,000 to the winner and finally at Grafton on Tuesday March 21 we have 350m Non Grade (1/2/3/4th Grade) Heats with a $2,500 final and 350m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $2,000 final.
