It can be a bit of a trap picking first starters to win their maidens but in what looks a very even field BLACK JACK TARO (2) is going to be very hard to hold out if he runs up to last weeks Performance Trial. TOTAL BACKFLIP (3) failed over 400m last start but is an improver back in distance from SWEET LITTLE MEL (1) and WILLOW'S SECRET (8).
