There is always plenty happening for greyhound participants both in and out of the industry, and that has only increased in recent times.
To help keep everyone across some of the upcoming events, and make sure you don’t miss anything, each Friday afternoon Greyhound Racing NSW will publish a Weekly Update, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While the big Group events will always receive extra coverage, and the calendar on thedogs.com.au will remain the place where participants can see all the upcoming racing, the Weekly Update will hand pick a few of the smaller features which may entice participants.
First up at the Richmond Straight track on Wednesday 16 March are maiden heats with a $1,500 to the winner final.
Then at Casino on Thursday 17 March, we see a 411m Best 8 (1/2/3/4th Grades) with $2,500 to the winner, a 620m Best 8 (Any Grade) with $5,000 to the winner.
The following day at Goulburn on Friday 18 March, the 440m Wollondilly Gift 5th Grade heats are run with a $10,000 final the following week.
Also on Friday at Wagga, we see 320m maiden heats with a $1,600 final, and at The Gardens (also Friday 18 March) there are 515m 1-3 win heats with a $5,000 to the winner final.
Still on Friday 18 March, now at Wentworth Park, there are 280m maiden heats scheduled with a $1,500 final
Over to the Richmond Straight on Saturday 19 March, we see 5th Grade heats leading to a $2,000 to the winner final.
Wentworth Park on Saturday 19 March sees two 520m Golden Easter Egg Preludes.
Grafton on Sunday 20 March, there are 450m 5th Grade heats - $3,800 final.
A big night at Maitland on Monday 21 March! In addition to the Cup heats, a 450m Best 8 (1/2/3/4th Grades) with $3,000 to the winner, a 565m Best 8 (Any Grade) with $5,000 to the winner, a 400m Best 8 (Dogs Only) with $4,000 to the winner and 400m Best 8 (Bitches Only), also $4,000 to the winner
Also on Monday at Nowra, a 520m Battlers Maiden with $2,000 to the winner.
And then at Gosford on Tuesday 22 March, there is a 603m Best 8 (Any Grade) with $5,000 to the winner
