There is always plenty happening for greyhound participants both in and out of the industry, and that has only increased in recent times.
To help keep everyone across some of the upcoming events, and make sure you don’t miss anything, each Friday afternoon Greyhound Racing NSW will publish a Weekly Update, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While the big Group events will always receive extra coverage, and the calendar on thedogs.com.au will remain the place where participants can see all the upcoming racing, the Weekly Update will hand pick a few of the smaller features which may entice participants.
First up this week on Wednesday, March 9, there will be maiden heats at the Richmond Straight track with a $1,500 to the winner final.
On the same day, Wentworth Park has 1-3 win heats over 520m with a $6,000 final, and the Dubbo club will stage 0-2 win heats over the 516m with a $5,000 to the winner final.
On Thursday, March 10, Dapto has 5th grade heats over the 520m with a $5,000 final.
Wentworth Park on Friday March 11 will stage 5th grade heats over the 280m, with a $2,000 final.
On Saturday, March 12 at Wentworth Park, there will be two Golden Easter Egg Preludes over the 520m.
Also on Saturday, March 12, Dubbo has four semi-finals of the STOCKMAN & Paddock Country Classic programmed.
On Sunday, March 13, Grafton has 5th grade 1-2 win heats over the 350m with a $2,000 to the winner final.
The heats of the Maitland Gold Cup over the 450m will be held on Monday, March 14, with the $40,000 to the winner final the following week. The club will also hold maiden heats over 400m with a $2,000 final.
On the same night, Nowra has 5th grade heats over 520m with a $5,000 final.
On Tuesday, March 15, the Bulli club has 1-3 win heats over 400m with a $3,000 final and the Dubbo club has maiden heats over 318m with a $5,000 final, Non Grade heats over 318m with a $10,000 to the winner final, and 4/5th grade heats over 400m also with a $10,000 final.
