VERVE TO EXCEL (2) didn't have the best of luck when 4th over the short course at Dapto last week. He clocked good time winning over the 320m here recently, excels when drawn close to the fence and looks hard to beat. REAL STEEL (6) has won 2 of 4 runs over this trip while METLIFE STADIUM (8) is hard to follow but could run a race at odds.
