Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
We have some group 1 events approaching rapidly but there are also plenty of other big races each week on the calendar around the State.
We commence at Taree on Wednesday January 11 with 392m 5th Grade Heats with a $3,000 Final.
The same night at Wentworth Park we have 520m Maiden Heats with a $6,000 Final and a 520m Wentworth Park Battlers worth $4,000 to the winner.
At Dapto on Thursday January 12 we have 520m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final.
Friday January 13 is a big day and we start with Goulburn which has an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 440m. The club also has 440m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final.
At Wentworth Park that night we have 520m National Derby Heats with a $75,000 Final and 520m National Futurity Heats also with a $75,000 Final.
At Wagga that night we will have 400m 1-5 Win Heats with a $2,300 Final and at The Gardens 400m 1-2 Win Heats with a $2,000 Final.
On Saturday January 14 at Wentworth Park we have the 520m Paws of Thunder Heats with a $75,000 Final and heats of the 720m Summer Distance Plate with a $40,000 Final.
At Grafton on Sunday January 15 we have 350m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 Final.
At Nowra on Monday January 16 we have 520m Maiden Heats with a $5,000 Final and 365m 5th Grade Heats with a $3,000 Final.
Also on Monday January 16 at Dubbo we have 516m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final and 400m Maiden Heats with a $1,500 Final.
And finally at Grafton on Tuesday January 17 we have 350m 1-3 Win Heats with a $2,000 Final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
