Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While some of the major feature races have come and gone this year - of course apart from the Group 1 Sportsbet Megastar at Dapto next Thursday - there is always another feature event around the corner.
There are still numerous feature races both big and small around the State over the next week, let’s take a quick look.
We commence at Richmond on Wednesday December 7 with 320m Maiden Heats with a $1,500 Final. On the same night at Wentworth Park we have 520m Maiden Heats with a $10,000 Final and 280m Non Grade (1/2/3/4th Grade) Heats with a $10,000 Final as well as a 520m 5th Grade Wentworth Park Battlers worth $4,000 to the winner.
At Casino on Thursday December 8 we have 411m 4/5th Grade Heats with a $4,600 Final and also that day at Gunnedah we have 527m 5th Grade West Country Challenge Heats with a $10,000 to the winner final.
At Dapto on Thursday December 8 apart from the Group 1 Sportsbet Megastar Final we will have 520m 5th Grade North Versus South Challenge Heats with a $10,000 Final and 520m Maiden Heats with a $3,000 Final.
At Dubbo on Saturday December 10 we will have 516m 5th Grade West Country Challenge Heats with a $10,000 Final and that night at Wentworth Park we have 520m Non Grade Christmas Gift Heats with a $25,000 Final and 520m 5th Grade No City Wins Dogs Heats with a $10,000 Final and 520m 5th Grade No City Wins Bitches Heats with a $10,000 Final.
At Grafton on Sunday December 11 we will have 350m Maiden Heats with a $2,500 Final and 350m 5th Grade Heats with a $3,300 Final.
At Maitland on Monday December 12 we have 400m 5th Grade 1-4 Win Heats with a $2,200 Final and finally at Casino on Tuesday December 13 we have the 484m Non Grade Lismore Cup Heats with a $40,000 Final as well as 484m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $5,000 Final.
