Lord Trio Chasing Another Big Race Win

Punters HQ, NSW's most prominent syndication group, has only eight greyhounds currently racing but has three of them in Tuesday night's group 2 Beast Unleashed Gosford Cup.

The syndicate races She's A Pearl, Punter's Bandit and Good Odds Emma, who have drawn boxes one, three and six in the $40,000 to the winner final.

If She's A Pearl wins - as is expected - she will take her career earnings to $1,529,470, second only behind Wow She's Fast in Australasian prizemoney earners.

In Tuesday night's heats She's A Pearl came from behind to defeat Reflections in 29.27, while Punter's Bandit came from a long way back to overtake Mia She's Fast in 29.33.

Good Odds Emma took the lead on the back straight to beat Fat Boy's Dream in 29.32 while the Jason Magri-trained Zipping Novak set the time standard for the 515m with powerful finishing burst to run down Ibrox Wildfire in 29.23.

"There are 13 or 14 different syndicate members with shares in each of our Gosford Cup finalists,” Punters HQ’s Joe Lannutti said.

"Among the owners of Good Odds Emma is Melbourne Storm NRL star Ryan Papenhuyzen, who is an absolute greyhound racing enthusiast.

"Punters HQ began as recently as 2017 when a group of friends got together wanting to race a couple of greyhounds.

"We have had success with trainers like Peter Sims, Mark Davidson and Dean Swain, while our Gosford Cup trio are trained by JODIE and Andy Lord.

"Only outlay for syndicate members is the initial purchase price because JODIE and Andy train their dogs on a 50-50 split of the prizemoney basis.

"When Punter's Bandit won on Tuesday she became our 980th winner so we are closing in on getting 1000 of our dogs to be first past the post.

"While She's A Pearl looks awfully hard to beat from box one in the final, Punter's Bandit's run home time of 12.39 is believed to be a record for the Gosford 515m trip.''

When Super Aussie won over 324m up the Richmond straight on Christmas Eve it gave the Brad Davis-trained dog and his littermates a total of 98 wins.

The litter, bred by Noelene Holloway from her bitch Fascinate Mary's mating with Aussie Infrared, do not turn three until March so it seems a foregone conclusion they will top the century of victories.

Super Aussie's win at Richmond was his 12th success, while his siblings comprise Fascinate Aussie (15 wins), Fascinate Mel (14), Fascinate Trump (11), Fascinate Model (three), Quick Shadow (23), Super Edition (six) and Fascinate Donald, the Richmond 320m record holder, with 14 wins.
