Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While some of the major feature races have come and gone this year the last Group 1, the Sportsbet Megastar at Dapto held last night, there is always another feature event around the corner.
There are still numerous feature races both big and small around the State over the next week, let’s take a quick look.
We commence at Taree on Wednesday December 14 with 314m Maiden Heats with a $1,600 Final, also 392m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with an $1,800 Final and 537m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,400 Final.
At Casino on Thursday December 15 we have 300m Non Grade (1/2/3/4th Grade) Heats with a $3,200 Final.
On Friday December 16 at Goulburn we see 440m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final and it is an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 440m.
At Richmond that same night, we have 401m 5th Grade Heats with a $7,500 Final and at Wagga also on the Friday we have 320m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 Final.
On Saturday December 17 up the Richmond Straight we have Maiden Heats with a $1,500 Final.
That night at Dubbo we have 318m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,500 Final and 516m 4/5th Grade Heats – also with a $2,500 Final.
Again on the Saturday December 17 we have at The Gardens 400m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 Final, and at Wentworth Park 520m Non Grade Juvenile Stake with a $10,000 Winner and 720m 5th Grade worth $10,000 to the winner.
At Gunnedah on Monday December 19 we have 340m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 Final. And the same night at Nowra 520m 5th Grade 1-4 Win Heats with a $4,000 Final.
Also on Monday December19 at Maitland we have an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 450m & 565m.
And finally at Bulli on Tuesday December 20 we have 400m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $3,000 Final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
