Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The huge month of racing in the regions continues with the Mega Month of Regional Racing and more than $1 million in prizemoney on offer just in feature events around the State.
The spotlight will be on LADBROKES GARDENS this Saturday with The Ladbrokes 715 final, and also the following Sunday, June 19, we have the world’s richest short-course event The Thunderbolt at Grafton.
But there’s still a lot of great feature events big and small, scheduled for this week around the State.
We’ll start with Goulburn on Friday June 17 and 350m 5th grade heats with a $10,000 final.
Also on June 17 at The Gardens we have 400m 5th grade heats with a $4,500 final and on the same day at Richmond we have heats of the prestigious Richmond Derby and Oaks over the 520m each with $40,000 finals.
On Saturday June 18 at Dubbo, there are 5th grade heats over the 318m with a $2,000 final.
On Thunderbolt day at Grafton, Sunday June 19 we also have 450m 5th grade 1-3 win heats with a $3,800 final and a 350m non grade (1/2/3/4th grades) worth $5,000 to the winner. Also on the card are a 450m non grade (1/2/3/4th grades) worth $5,000 to the winner and a 660m non grade (any grade) worth $5,000 to the winner.
Finally at Maitland on Monday June 20 we have 400m maiden heats with a $2,200 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
