There is always plenty happening for greyhound participants both in and out of the industry, and that has only increased in recent times.
To help keep everyone across some of the upcoming events, and make sure you don’t miss anything, each Friday afternoon Greyhound Racing NSW will publish a Weekly Update, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While the big Group events will always receive extra coverage, and the calendar on thedogs.com.au will remain the place where participants can see all the upcoming racing, the Weekly Update will hand pick a few of the smaller features which may entice participants.
First up this week on Wednesday, February 9, we have maiden heats at Wentworth Park over the 520m with a $6,000 to the winner final.
At Dapto on Thursday, February 10, there will be 5th grade heats over the 297m which will lead to a $2,000 to the winner final.
Also on Thursday, February 10, Casino has scheduled non-grade heats over the 411m. The Best 16 event will have a $3,000 to the winner final.
On Friday, February 11, the Wagga Wagga club has programmed 0-1 win heats over 525m with a $2,700 to the winner final, and on the same day, Goulburn will hold 5th grade heats over the 350m with a $2,000 to the winner final.
It’s a big day on Sunday, February 13 at Bulli with heats of their prestigious feature the Group 2 Bulli Gold Cup over the 472m trip. The final the following week will be worth $40,000 to the winner. On the same card will be maiden heats over the 472m with the winner of the final collecting $3,000.
Participants should also please remember that nominations for Saturday race meetings at LADBROKES GARDENS now close at 9am on Wednesdays.
