Asiram had box eight and had no luck when sixth at his sole Wentworth Park outing on October 20 so trainer Ruth King is pleased to see him in box one at headquarters in tonight's Happy 40th Mark Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
"Asiram had a couple of trials at Wenty before his October race and I thought he would go good but he got smashed at the first turn,'' King said.
"He is not a bad beginner but lacks zip for the first 20m or 30m then he musters up.
"I expect him to run a big race from the rails alley on Saturday.''
Asiram has won each of his past two starts at Dapto and has worn the red vest on both occasions.
Another Wednesday night Wenty winner to beat the grader tonight is the Andrew Bell-trained Coco Model, who has box three in the Happy 50th Dom Cullen Stakes, a 520m fifth class.
Coco Model was having only her second start for Bell when she led throughout in 30.30 at Wentworth Park last Saturday and trimmed those figures to 30.20 when an all-the-way winner from box six on Wednesday.
"She looked a treat after her race on Wednesday so is raring to go again,'' Bell said.
"I think there is still improvement in Coco Model because I don't believe she has quite got it all together yet.
"Her first splits on Wednesday were fast, 5.39 and 13.90, so she could turn out to be like Cop Magnet, who won again for me on Wednesday.
"He just gets out in front and makes them chase him and in her two wins for me Coco Model has done the same.''
Cop Magnet has box four in tonight's Happy 50th Adam Ritchie Stakes, a third and fourth grade 520m, and will be chasing his fourth Wentworth Park win since November 13.
"He also pulled up well after Wednesday's race,'' Bell said.
Cop Magnet, whose splits on Wednesday were 5.37 and 13.87, will need to be on his game again as his rivals on Saturday include She's A Pearl, who has box eight.
The Peter Sims-trained She's A Pearl wore the pink rug when she led all the way in a flying 29.64 last Saturday, recording early splits of 5.34 and 13.64.
