Greyhound Racing NSW is saddened to learn of the news of the passing Dr Paul Rowland after a long battle with cancer.
Paul will be known to so many participants and all throughout the industry in NSW, and worked as the on track veterinarian at many race tracks around the State, particularly those in the South Coast region.
Paul also regularly stepped up to cover other areas when needed especially at times of on track veterinarian shortages.
He would always be on hand to help participants with not only veterinarian issues and enquiries, but even putting his hand up to catch dogs in trials when required.
Paul would willingly work long hours just to keep the industry going and not let anyone down, he loved greyhounds and the people who are part of our industry.
He was always bright and positive and even during his illness he was planning on what he would do when he returned to work.
Dr Paul Rowland will be sadly missed by all in the greyhound industry.
Greyhound Racing NSW wishes to pass on its condolences to Paul’s wife Virginia, their boys, and all of Paul’s family and friends.
