Free for all Heat 520m (Other)
Group 1 event $75,000 to winner of final on June 16. Best 80 greyhounds whelped on or after December 1, 2009. Maidens ineligible. Where less than 80 nominations are received, the NSW GBOTA and GRNSW reserve the right to reduce the number of heats conducted. Priority entry granted to nominated greyhounds that have won a Group 1 event or a Group 2 event of not less than 450m and not more than 595m in the 12 months prior to close of nominations. Remaining balance of heats determined under the grading guidelines of the GRNSW TAB Grading Policy. Heat composition determined by blind draw. Greyhounds trained and or owned by the same interest will be guarded where possible in the heats. Semi-finals on June 2: The field composition of the semi-finals will be determined, firstly, by placings in heats and, secondly, times recorded in registering such placings. The formula used fairly seeds greyhounds into the semi-finals based on a combined consideration of the placings and times recorded by all greyhounds in the heats. No guarding for greyhounds owned or trained in the same interest applies in the semi-finals. Semi-final composition is determined solely on the basis of heat performance to a pre-set formula.
