Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The Nationals are on this week around the country and it will be a big night next Thursday at Wentworth Park when NSW’s representatives are decided, but there are also plenty of other feature races to pick from around the State this week.
We commence this week at Temora on Wednesday August 9 where it is an extra prize money meeting for graded races over 457m & 570m.
As mentioned, on Thursday at Wentworth Park there will be the 720m Non Grade NSW National Distance Final and the 520m Wentworth Park Battlers which is worth $6,000 to the winner.
At Richmond on Friday August 11, we have 401m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,500 final.
At Richmond Straight on Saturday August 12 we have Maiden Heats with a $1,500 final.
At Grafton on Sunday August 13 we have 450m 5th Grade Heats with a $3,000 final.
At Nowra on Monday August 14 we have 520m 5th Grade Heats with a $4,000 final and on the same night at Maitland 400m 5th Grade 1-5 Win Heats with a $2,000 final.
On Tuesday August 15 at Bulli we have 472m 0-2 Win Heats with a $4,000 final and 340m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $3,000 final.
And finally at Grafton also on Tuesday August 15 we have 350m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,200 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
