Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While Friday has been a big day with first the Ladbrokes Southern Stars Final at Goulburn then the Ladbrokes Cannonball at Richmond, there are also plenty of feature races to pick from around the State this week.
We commence this week at Wentworth Park on Wednesday August 2 with 520m Maiden Heats with a $6,000 Final and a Wentworth Park Battlers worth $4,000 to the winner.
On the same day at Richmond we have 401m Maiden Heats with a $1,500 Final.
At Casino on Thursday August 3 we have 411m Maiden Heats with a $10,000 final and 484m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final.
At Goulburn on Friday August 4 we have 440m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final.
Saturday August 5 will be a big day first up the Richmond Straight with NSW National Straight Track Championship Heats with a $10,000 Final, then at Wentworth Park with the NSW National Sprint Championship Heats with a $12,000 Final.
At Grafton on Sunday August 6 we have 450m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $2700 Final.
Gosford has a rare Sunday meeting on August 6 and this meeting will be a Finish on Lure meeting, as will the Wagga meeting on Monday August 7.
At Nowra on Monday August 7 we have 365m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 Final.
On the same night at Maitland we have 400m Maiden Heats with a $1,700 Final.
And finally at Grafton on Tuesday August 8 we will have 350m 5th grade 1-2 Win Heats with a $2,200 Final.
