Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
There are plenty of feature races to pick from this week as we begin the heats of the world’s richest shortcourse event, the Thunderbolt.
We commence this week at Taree on Wednesday May 31 we have 392m 4/5th Grade Silver Bullet Heats with a $7,000 final.
At Bulli the same day it is an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 472m, 515m & 590m.
On June 1 at Casino we have 411m 5th Grade Heats with a $3,000 final, and the same day at Gunnedah there will be 431m Maiden Heats with a $5,000 final.
That night at Dapto there are 297m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 final.
At Wagga on Friday June 2 we have 320m Thunderbolt Heats with the final worth $75,000.
At Wentworth Park on Saturday June 3 we have 520m 5th Grade 1-4 Win Heats with a $8,000 final.
At Gunnedah on Sunday June 4 we have 527m Non Grade Chief Havoc Heats with a $40,000 final and 431m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 final.
At Maitland on Monday June 5 we have 450m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final. This is also an extra prizemoney meeting for graded races over 450m & 565m.
On Monday June 5 we also have Nowra 365m Maiden Heats with a $4,000 final and 520m 5th Grade Loyalty Heats with a $7,000 final.
At Gunnedah on Tuesday June 6 we have 340m Maiden Heats with a $7,000 Final and 340m 5th Grade 1-4 Win Heats also with a $7,000 final.
We have Thunderbolt heats at Bulli (340m) and Gosford (388m) on Tuesday June 6 with the final worth $75,000.
And finally at Grafton on Tuesday June 6 we have 350m 5th Grade Heats with a $4,000 final and 450m Non Grade (Any Grade) Regional Origin Challenge Heat worth $5,000 to the winner.
