Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
There will be plenty of big Group feature races in the coming months with only a few weeks until the world’s richest distance race, The Ladbrokes 715, is run and won at The Gardens. But there are also plenty of other big races each week on the calendar around the State.
We commence this week with Wentworth Park on Wednesday April 19 and 520m Maiden Heats with a $6,000 final.
At Goulburn on Friday April 21 we have 350m 5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 final.
On Saturday April 22 up the Richmond Straight we have Maiden Heats with a $1,500 final and the same day at The Gardens we have 400m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats with a $2,000 final.
At Grafton on Sunday April 23 we have 450m 1-2 Win Heats with a $5,000 final and a reminder that this is an extra prize money meeting for graded races over 450m and 660m.
At Dubbo on Monday April 24 we have 318m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 final and 400m 4/5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 final.
On Anzac Day at Temora we have 457m Maiden Heats with a $2,000 final, 457m 5th Grade Temora to Wentworth Park Heats with a $6,000 final and this meeting too is an extra prize money meeting for graded races over 457m and 570m.
Finally also on Anzac Day, at Bulli, we have 472m 0-1 Win Heats with a $4,000 final.
