Greyhound Racing NSW joins the entire Australian racing community in sadness today at the news of the passing of Deane Lester.
Deane was amazing man, an iconic figure in Australian racing, a close friend to so many in the thoroughbred industry, and regarded as the best judge in the country.
While predominantly his love and life was in thoroughbred racing, he was a fan of all three racing codes.
The racing industry has today lost one of its very best.
The Board and staff of GRNSW and the entire NSW greyhound racing industry, offers their condolences to his mother Sandra, his partner, Leanne, and all of Deane’s family and friends.
