Typhoon Sammy has "flown'' in his final hit-out before Wednesday's Village Green Hotel Sprinters Cup final at Grafton.

"He had a gallop up our straight track on Sunday morning, racing alongside my wife Glenda's car,'' trainer John Dart said.

"After the run Glenda reckoned she is going to have to get a faster car!''

TRAINER Steve Fitch was not surprised Cumbria Dreaming was able to break 30sec and win by four lengths when he contested Saturday night's WP Ladbroke It! Masters event.

Cumbria Dreaming drew box two and after the race Fitch commented: "That was only the second time in 20 Wenty starts that he has drawn closer to the rails than box four.

"That, along with the small field made all the difference because he tends to be a slow beginner.''
