Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
In the past two months we have seen the TAB Million Dollar Chase, The Ladbrokes 715, the Thunderbolt and this Saturday we have the two Group 1 finals at Wentworth Park, the Vic Peters and Peter Mosman Opal.
But the feature races big and small continue each week and there are plenty scheduled this the upcoming week here in NSW, including the first set of heats of the inaugural GRNSW Southern Stars.
We’ll start this week with Wentworth Park Twilight on Wednesday July 13 with 520m maiden heats with a $6,000 final.
On the same night we have Grafton’s feature evening with all their big finals as well as a 660m non grade (any grade) with $8,000 to the winner, a 660m 5th grade worth $5,900 to the winner, and a 450m Best 8 5th grade worth $5,500 to the winner.
At Richmond on Friday July 15 we have heats of the non grade Cannonball over the 401m, with a $7,500 final.
Up the Richmond Straight on Saturday July 16 we have maiden heats with a $1,500 Final.
On Sunday July 17 at Temora we have the non grade Southern Stars Heats over the 457m with a $50,000 final at Goulburn on July 29.
At Nowra on Monday July 18 we have 365m 5th grade heats with a $2,500 final and the same night at Maitland we have 400m maiden heats with a $2,000 final.
And at Gosford on Tuesday July 19 we will have 515m maiden heats with a $3,000 Final and 515m 5th grade heats with a $5,000 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
