Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
It’s a huge month of racing in the regions and GRNSW has dubbed the next month the Mega Month Of Regional Racing with more than $1 million in prizemoney on offer just in feature events around the state.
Let’s take a look at all the features big and small, scheduled for this week.
At Wentworth Park on Wednesday May 25 we have 720m 5th grade heats with a $6,200 final, and on the same day at Richmond we have 401m maiden heats with a $1,500 final.
At The Gardens on Thursday May 26 there will be a Non-Grade stake over the 715m with $7,000 to the winner.
Also on May 26, Dapto has 297m 5th grade heats with a $2,000 final.
On Friday May 27 at Wagga the club has the heats of the Thunderbolt over 320m and also the heats of the Graeme Hull Memorial Cup over the 525m with a $25,000 Final. Also on the card are 5th grade heats over the 525m with a $2,100 final.
On Saturday May 28 at the Richmond Straight track, there will be 5th grade heats with a $2,000 final and on the same day at Grafton we have 350m 5th grade, 1-2 win heats with a $2,000 final.
That night Wentworth Park has a 520m Non-Grade stake with $10,000 to the winner.
At Gunnedah on Sunday May 29 we have Thunderbolt heats over the 340m.
At Wagga on Monday May 30, the club has 400m 5th grade heats with a $3,000 final, 1-4 win 5th grade heats over the 320m with a $2,000 final and maiden heats over the 320m with a $2,000 final.
Also on May 30, Maitland has 450m 4/5th grade heats with a $2,600 final and 400m maiden heats with a $2,000 final.
And finally at Bulli on Tuesday May 31, the club has 340m Thunderbolt heats.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
