The Federal Government has announced two allowances/payments for individuals who have been impacted by the current flooding in Northern NSW.
1. A lump sum payment to help people seriously affected by the Northern NSW floods starting in February 2022 ($1000 per adult and $400 per child if eligible).
2. Support for individuals who have lost income as a direct result of the floods in Northern NSW in February 2022 (maximum equivalent of JobSeeker Payment or Youth Allowance depending on personal circumstances and income).
The funds are only available to individuals living in the following local government areas: Ballina, Bellingen, Byron, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Tweed.
