Incapacitated Looking For First Dapto Victory

By Peter Davis
He’s been southwest to Wagga, to Brisbane , Newcastle, Bulli and Wentworth Park in just six weeks and, at Dapto on Thursday, Richmond Derby winner Incapacitated looks to open his account at the Showgrounds track.

His only two outings at Dapto (in November) resulted in solid efforts behind Second Exit in very quick times yet there’s no doubt he’s a more seasoned, better performed hound now.

At his most recent outing, at The Gardens in Newcastle on June 26, Incapacitated tracked the speedy Showtime Jack to the home turn, drew to the lead 50m out and came away to score by three lengths in a smart 34.46 seconds.

While at his best from an inside draw, Incapacitated has posted three wins from five starts from the alley he exits this time (7) and boasts an impressive 22 wins and 15 placings from 49 starts.

The speedy Prim And Proper (Box 1), Sound Of Silence (3) and Super Estrella (8), however, will provide stern opposition.

Prim And Proper is a diminutive lass but has genuine zip and has a never-say-die attitude. Registering five wins from just 10 starts at Dapto over 600m, Prim And Proper drops in class on her latest Albion Park (710m) outings and is perfectly positioned.

Sound Of Silence last raced at Dapto on April 15 and prevailed in 34.74s, the middle leg of five successive wins. He has undeniable claims in an engaging contest.

Super Estrella appreciates room to move and is well placed in Box 8. She’s been placed in four of six outings since a strong 29.89s win at Wentworth Park on April 24.

This GRNSW Middle Distance event offers $5000 to the winner and, regardless of which dog prevails, the major end of the purse will have been hard earned.

The first of 10 races at Dapto gets underway at 7.13pm.
