New Grafton Track Opens For Business

Pretty Valley … it could very well be the answer to a trivia question somewhere down the road.

She is yet to win in her first five starts, but Pretty Valley now has the honour of being the first greyhound to christen the new Grafton greyhound track.
The multi-million rebuild of the state of the art Grafton track is now complete, and on Friday morning 60 greyhounds trialled at the track. The first of those over the 350m trip, was the appropriately named, Pretty Valley.

Official trials will take place next week, with the first race meeting scheduled for June 14.

The rebuild of the Grafton track began late last year, and despite some inclement weather during the build, the plan was always to have the track and new kennel facilities up and running before the club’s prestigious annual Winter Carnival.

The Carnival kicks off with the much sought after Clarence Valley Sheds Maiden Heats on  June 28, and culminates with a massive night on Wednesday July 7.
