Greyhound Racing NSW has received a number of enquiries from participants and stakeholders as to alternative plans should the weekend weather forecast of substantial rainfall come to fruition and cause Saturday night’s Wentworth Park meeting - with its 10 heats of the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg - be washed out.
Between 35mm and 80mm of rain is forecast for Friday, with another 100mm of rain forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology on Saturday.
Should stewards deem that the inclement weather and conditions of the Wentworth Park track surface not be conducive to racing, the meeting will be postponed until Sunday evening with the first event scheduled for around 5.45pm.
