Richmond Next On The Agenda For Zippings

Dual Group 1 winning trainer Luke Adams will set both his National Derby and National Futurity winners for a crack at the Richmond Derby and Oaks next month following their brilliant wins at Wentworth Park last Saturday night.

Zipping Sapporo chased down the leader to take out the Futurity final, while Zipping Moose gave none of his seven rivals a chance in leading throughout to win the Derby.

Adams plans to trial both dogs at the Richmond track in coming weeks before setting them both for the heats which will be run on February 26.

The $40,000 to the winner Group 2 finals of both events will be run at Richmond on March 5.

To help trainers who may be looking to give their dogs a look at the Richmond track before the heats, the Richmond club have their Ladbrokes Red Dog series this week.

The series will be run as a 5th grade event over the 535m, with heats run this Friday January 29, and the $4,500 final to be held on February 6.

Nominations for the heats close at 9am on Wednesday January 27.
