Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase

A Wall Of Million Dollar Memories

By thedogs.com.au
For anyone there at Wentworth Park on the night of October 16, the memory will be vivid in their minds, incredible scenes of an emotional trainer Peter Lagogiane, and a jubilant owner Shakeel Latimer, after their greyhound Handsome Prince won the third edition of the TAB Million Dollar Chase, the world’s richest greyhound race.

Now the memory is indelibly etched at the venue, with the unveiling on Wednesday night at Wentworth Park of a painting in honour of that memorable victory.

Both Lagogiane and Latimer were on hand with General Manager of the Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers’ Association (GBOTA) Steve Noyce, to unveil the artwork on lower level the grandstand at Wentworth Park, on what will become a wall of honour for Million Dollar Chase winners.

“I think it’s important that you do acknowledge success with everything you do in life,” Noyce said. “To win the world’s richest greyhound race is important and it’s important as an industry that we honour these achievements and honour the dreams. Dreams and aspirations are what we are made of.”
