Remediation work has now been completed at Bbet Park Taree and all is in readiness for the club to host their next TAB meeting on Sunday November 15.

Since the club’s last meeting on September 23, the Greyhound Racing NSW track maintenance team has worked hard with the club on numerous aspects at the track.

The turn out of the home straight to the catching pen is now cambered to 8%, the rise in back straight has been removed, and is now cambered to turn at 4% - 6% - 8%.

The boxes at the 392m start are now wider on track and have a better start area. The boxes have been realigned to the track and measured to the apex. The distance remains unchanged.

The track has been completely returfed between the winning post and the turn out of the back straight, top dressed and fertilised.

A perimeter fence from the 392m to the home turn is now 1.2m colorbond, while the outside fence in the home straight is now similar to Gosford, being 400mm high, with the previous wire barrier fence moved back two metres as a barrier between track and public. Similarly the stir up moved back same distance.

In preparation for the return of racing on November 15, the Taree club will hold a trial session this weekend, on Sunday, November 8, commencing at 9.00am and the club have advised this will be a free trial session.
