Aub Casey, who trained the former Wentworth Park star Humbolt and Mireeka, a Wentworth Park Young Star Classic finalist, has died aged 83.
Casey, who was based in Lithgow, held a trainer's licence for 60 years.
Missing Squaw, who won 13 races for Casey between 1997 and 1999, was later mated with Worthy Reward and produced Nimble Dimple, a winner of five races for the Lithgow trainer.
Then, when mated with Brett Lee, Nimble Dimple whelped Nimble Lee, who established a Lithgow 506m track record of 29.26s for Casey when she won in September, 2006.
GRNSW wishes to pass on condolences to Aub Casey’s family and friends.
