Hardman happy to have Kash back in his pocket

By Jeff Collerson
Nangar Kash steps out for his second race in seven months at Richmond on Sunday before being among the first nominations for the resumption of racing at Wentworth Park on June 6.

Nangar Kash won a dozen races at Wentworth Park before being sold to Queensland owner Wade Liddell last October, but was beaten at his only race for his new connections.

"Wade phoned and said the dog was not going as well as when he was down here so asked me if I would put him back into my kennels for him,'' trainer Michael Hardman said.

"He started trialling well and won first up in smart time over 400m at Richmond last Sunday.

"Nangar Kash pulled up so well he could have gone around again but he had put on a bit of weight and because I was so keen to get him back to Wenty on June 6, I decided he needed another 400m at Richmond

"He has come up with box one on Sunday and because he is four years old he is in a Masters' race, so how good is that?

"After Sunday's Richmond race I will take him to Wenty for a post-to-post hit-out which should have him ready for when racing begins again there early next month.''
