Important Announcement on Richmond FOL meetings

Greyhound Racing NSW and the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission wish to advise all participants that there will be an immediate suspension of finish on lure racing at Richmond.

The Richmond club has been conducting finish on lure racing at their Sunday meetings for a number of weeks, but following a number of cases of canine coronavirus around the country, GRNSW and GWIC officials have met, worked together on solutions for the situation, and decided that it was best to suspend that form of racing for the time being, to avoid any potential of spreading the disease.

Any trainers who have dogs engaged in this Sunday’s Richmond meeting and wish to now scratch, can do so without incurring a penalty.

Moving forward, future Richmond meetings which were to be conducted as finish on lure meetings, will now revert back to normal catching pen meetings.

GRNSW and GWIC would like to thank all participants for their understanding on this matter.
