Good Odds Harada set for winning return to racing

TAB Million Dollar Chase winner Good Odds Harada makes his keenly anticipated to return to racing in Saturday night's 400m Ladbrokes Odds Boost Stakes at Bulli and his new trainer Jason Magri expects him to win.

Good Odds Harada has not raced since mid February with Magri now deputising for Million Dollar Chase winning trainer Frank Hurst who is recuperating after an accident.

"The dog has settled in well, is really happy, and is going very well in trials,'' Magri said.

"Good Odds Harada has box six but certainly looks well placed in a fourth and fifth grade and barring bad luck he should be winning.''

Kennelmates My Bro Pegs and Flash High Ball have been placed in eight of 19 races and one of them should break through in Saturday's opening event, the 472m Andrew Rowe Appreciation Maiden Stakes.

The Annette Fleming-trained My Bro Pegs bungled the start completely when a strong finishing third over 400m at Bulli on March 14 and came from last when fourth in a flying 26.06 over 472m at the same track last Saturday.

Litter brother and kennelmate Flash High Ball was third over 515m at Bulli last Saturday but was placed behind the talented Zipping Junior in a 520m WP Maiden heat and final in February.

On Saturday My Bro Pegs will exit box one with Flash High Ball in two.

Annette Fleming's husband Shayne said: "My Bro Pegs began brilliantly at his first start at Nowra but has not done it since.

"Last week he did not begin as badly as he has been recently but he was checked back to last as soon as they jumped.

"Although he has box one I prefer My Bro Pegs drawn wide, and his brother Flash High Ball is a quicker dog.

"Both his runs behind Zipping Junior at Wenty were terrific and I expect him to go well.''

Trainer Shane Pulbrook describes his greyhound Tammy's Chance, who will wear the pink rug in the 340m Ladbrokes Cash In Free-For-All, as a "box eight bandit.''

Pulbrook pointed out that Tammy's Chance has won seven of her 14 races from the outside alley and said: "She missed the start badly when sixth from box five at Dapto on March 26 but she never jumps well from odd numbered boxes.

"Tammy's Chance doesn't like being in the boxes too long before the lids lift and under the current way of boxing the dogs, she will be the last to be placed away on Saturday.

"That will suit her down to the ground because she always jumps good when she is last in.

"But Seven Hour Park, who has box one, is also ideally positioned and because I think he will be the early leader, Tammy's Chance might have to run him down.''

Most competitive fifth grade assembled in years gets under way in Saturday's 472m Ladbrokes Info Hub Stakes, with Brown Sphere in box one taking on Milakai (three), Nangar Rust (four), Unison (five) and Here Comes Joe in seven.

Here Comes Joe looks the dog to beat as he has box seven and has won four of his five starts from the three outside draws.

Brown Sphere, chasing his fifth successive Bulli win, has not raced since December 7 but Jason Buckley, whose father Merv trains the dog, said: "He is going pretty good.

"Brown Sphere is a very hard to get past once he is in front so box one is a bonus.''
