Beverley Mahoney, who trained 2004 Sydney Cup winner Resigned, has passed away.
Beverley and husband DENIS won 17 races with Resigned, while that greyhound's younger full brother War Hero was a remarkably durable stayer, who won 31 of 128 races between 2006 and 2009.
More recently Bev Mahoney had great success with the offspring of Resigned, winning 11 races with the Cup winner's son, Hero's Return, in 2012 and 2013.
Hero's Return reached top grade at WP while Kai I Ulani, a daughter of Resigned, won four from just nine starts and became the mother of Honey I'm Home, who won seven races for Bev and DENIS Mahoney.
