Launching Pad priority ticket on offer at Richmond

Greyhound Racing NSW and the Richmond Greyhound Club have today announced a unique concept which will give the connections of one greyhound the opportunity to contest the $420,000 Launching Pad series next month at Sandown in Melbourne.

Heats of the Richmond Launching Pad series, to be run over the 535m journey, will be held on Friday week, March 6, with the final to be run on March 13. The winner of the final will collect the $4,000 prizemoney, but also a ticket worth $2,000 for priority entry into the heats of the Group 3 Launching Pad to be run at Sandown on March 26.

The Richmond event is open to fourth and fifth grade greyhounds with 1-3 wins and no more than 26 starts.

The Sandown Launching Pad heats, worth $7,000 to the winner are to be held on March 26, the semi-finals worth $10,000 to the winner will be run on April 2, with the $150,000 to the winner final on April 9.

Should the winner of the Richmond Launching Pad series decide not to accept the priority ticket, it will be offered to the runner-up.
