Good Juan, who has broken 30s over 520m at Wentworth Park and posted a nippy 42.47 in a 720m race there, has been sold for a six figure amount.
Clients of Hunter Valley trainer Harry Sarkis have bought the greyhound from the dog's owners, with previous trainer George Borg handing Good Juan over to his new connections late last week.
"My father, brother and friends of theirs who are school teachers previously owned Good Juan and when they told me they had received a huge offer for the dog I advised them to accept it,'' Borg said.
Harry Sarkis said: "I plan to trial the dog for his new owners at Wentworth Park on Wednesday night.''
Good Juan, who staged a remarkable last-to-first performance to win over 535m at his most recent start at Richmond on January 25, has had 15 races for six wins and five second placings.

JOHN Miles, the central coast trainer who has been one of the sport's quiet achievers for the past 50 years, made a clean sweep of Friday's Richmond Cannonball, winning all three heats.
Miles won with fastest qualifier Laurie's Flyer, who led throughout over the 400m in 22.58, and with Sliced Bread (22.65) and Blue Bronte (22.72) who also led all the way.
The Miles training team will provide 50 per cent of next Friday's time honoured Cannonball final as Miles' partner Susan Smith qualified with Morse, who was a fast finishing luckless second behind Laurie's Flyer.
Miles' trio of heat winners were offspring of his former brilliant speedster Blue Thunda, who was bred by Miles from a bitch called Whinging Wrench.
Blue Thunda won 18 of her first 21 races but had her career cut short by injury.
"She finished second and unplaced at her final two races and in hindsight I think she might have started to be troubled by the hock problem which ultimately finished her career,'' Miles said.
"After those two defeats, at Dubbo and Maitland, she smashed the hock in a trial at Maitland but she has been a wonderful producer.
"Until recently Blue Bronte was the quickest of my three heat winners but Laurie's Flyer has improved and he is probably the fastest now.
"Despite training for half a century I have not had a runner in the Cannonball before.
"I nominated them for this race because my heat winners have gone through their grades at the provincial tracks very quickly.
"They are now likely to be drawn together at places like Gosford and The Gardens and when that happens kennelmates often seem to cause interference to each other in races.
"I've found over the years that happens particularly when greyhounds have been reared together as puppies.''

MY Mate Fox, winner of the 2018 Richmond Riches, has been killed by a snake.
The dog's visibly upset owner-trainer-breeder Peter Barnes, from Portland, disclosed the sad news at Wentworth Park on Saturday.
"I didn't see it happen but the dog took ill, had a big lump on his leg and my veterinary surgeon, who fought to save his life, diagnosed it as snake bite,'' Barnes said.
"We think it was a copperhead and with the drought snakes have been seeking out water and sometimes finding it in greyhound kennels and yards.''
My Mate Fox won 17 races and over $88,000 prizemoney, with his defeat of Rev Fred Sloy in the Richmond Riches the dog's biggest success.
His Riches win came after the dog qualified as first reserve but secured a run from box two through the scratching of Uncle Donuts.
