It has now been confirmed that the Group 3 Christmas Gift and Christmas Cheer will be held next Saturday night at Wentworth Park.
The two feature races were scheduled for last night, but did not eventuate following the abandonment of the Wentworth Park meeting as a result of the catastrophic fires, and road closures around the State.
The two events had this year undergone a revamp, and both races were four-dog features, one over the 520m sprint, the other for stayers over 720m.
The good news is that all eight runners have confirmed they will take their original places in the two events, and race for $25,000 to the winner in each Group race.
The box draws for both events will remain as it was drawn last week.
The box draw for the Christmas Gift over 520m is: 1 Good Odds Harada 3 Jimmy Casey 5 Feral Franky 7 Embye.
The box draw for the Christmas Cheer over 720m is: 1 Veloce Nero 3 China O’Brien 5 Just Terms 7 Blue Moon Rising.
New nominations for all other races on the Wentworth Park Saturday card, will be taken this week.
