The traditional trek for the long weekend in October to the time-honoured Coonamble carnival continues this year and Greyhound Racing NSW and the Coonamble Greyhound Racing Club have combined to provide additional prizemoney levels for the Friday night race meeting in 2019.
Prizemoney for all races which includes winners and placegetters will be lifted to ensure that all participants have the opportunity to race for the additional prizemoney. The carnival also once again provides a range of races for greyhounds of all abilities and the excitement on and off the track is second to none. GRNSW CEO Mr Tony Mestrov in announcing this initiative today acknowledges the valuable contribution the carnival makes to the industry and also the support for the local town of Coonamble. It continues GRNSW support of regional events in not only prizemoney levels but support to towns such as Coonamble.
Mr Mestrov also advised that GRNSW will also be working in conjunction with all NON TAB clubs to ensure that there feature race meetings are conducted with additional prizemoney resources for all participants.
