2018 Million Dollar Chase champion looking strong

2018 Million Dollar Chase winner Mystic Riot seems to be getting back to form after she went around at the LADBROKES GARDENS 515m trip in 29.33s on Friday afternoon.

The Peter Lagogiane-trained greyhound recorded the fastest time of the afternoon in easy fashion, coming in seven lengths of the second placed Sketchy Tralee and producing a blistering 1st sectional time of 4.85s (0.02s off the track record).

Her performances have been sound of late and with a start in the Final of the Group 1 Sky Racing Brisbane Cup to show for her troubles, and with the 2019 TAB Million Dollar Chase on the horizon, she may just be coming into form just at the right time.

Sennachie claims 2019 TAB Maturity Classic over the Feral

What a dominant dog Sennachie is right now.

Having taken out the Group 1 Brisbane Cup earlier this month, the Steven White-trained Sennachie was odds-on to take out the Group 1 Maturity Classic Final at The Meadows on Saturday and he did not disappoint.

Starting from the 8 box, the draw did concern some prior to the race however this star proved too good, flying home in a time of 29.53s to hold off strong company in Whiskey Riot (29.82s – 2nd) and NSW fan-favourite Feral Franky (29.85s – 3rd).

2019 has proven to be a good year for the Victorian with victories in the Queensland Derby, Brisbane Cup, Launching Pad Consolation Final and now a Group 1 at The Meadows.

White said following the race that the aim is for more Group 1 events in the future so keep an eye on Sennachie’s name to feature in 2019 TAB Million Dollar Chase discussions.
