The countdown is now on to the inaugural Ladbrokes Gold Muzzle Puppy Auction with less than three weeks until Auction Day on Sunday, June 23 at Richmond Racetrack.
With a final draft of 118 of the best-bred pups to be sold, the on-line catalogue was released last week and the interest has been substantial.
"We had more than 300 downloads of the Catalogue on the first day after it was released and there's been a constant flow since then along with people making phone enquiries about the Auction," said Mark Duclos, Managing Director of Gold Muzzle Auctions.
"Apart from the Catalogue, we've also finalised details about other activities on the day which will include G1 Winning Trainer Jason Mackay, and Australia's foremost Breeding expert David Brasch, as our guest speakers for the Owners and Trainers forum which kicks off at 11.30am.
"We are also catering for the whole family who wants to enjoy the day and we have Face Painting, a Jumping Castle and a Bucking Bull booked for the kids while the downstairs bar will be in operation and there'll also be a Coffee and Food Van and the renowned Richmond Racetrack BBQ to ensure that everyone is well fed and watered," said Duclos.
Pups will be available for viewing from 10.30am and Duclos said they're taking no chances with inclement weather that may arrive and the Auction will be staged under-cover in the old Betting Ring.
"Given the time of year, we are always susceptible to the elements so the decision was made very early to stage the Auction under cover and there will be plenty of seating and standing room available as the pups go under the hammer," he said.
