Queensland’s Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club has announced they will re-introduce their Straight Of Origin series this year.
The series, to be battled out between traditional sporting rivals Queensland and NSW, will be held over three consecutive Sundays up Capalaba’s straight track.
Heats over the 366m trip will be held on June 9 for the best 32, followed by semi-finals on June 16, and the $22,000 (overall) final will be staged on June 23.
To be eligible for Queensland representation, the greyhound must be trained by a Queensland trainer from May 9, 2019 or before, and likewise, to be eligible for NSW, the greyhound must be trained by a NSW trainer from May 9, 2019 or before.
