When Good Odds Meghan made the pace before finishing second at Wentworth Park on March 23 she posted slick sectional times of 5.49 and 13.93 and should only need to reproduce those figures to lead throughout at headquarters on Saturday night.
Good Odds Meghan has box six in race two, a 520m fifth grade, and while she is a good railer who is considered better suited from an inside draw, she has the early speed required to lead all the way.
The Frank Hurst-trained bitch has a tendency to veer left in the run to the first turn, so having an empty box alongside her in five should be to her advantage.
Good Odds Meghan's only Wentworth Park win was from box eight and it took a noted strong finisher in Sunrise Flame to catch her when she was runner-up on March 23.
Good Odds Meghan's four Wentworth Park starts have resulted in a win and three placings and tonight's lineup appears to be the weakest she has encountered.
The Wentworth Park records of the Mark Gatt-trained pair Rita's Boy and Smoking Road dominate Saturday night's Ladbrokes Multimaker Stakes, a 520m event for masters (veteran) greyhounds.
Rita's Boy and Smoking Road have between them won 26 Wentworth Park races while the total for their six rivals stands at 27 successes in town.
Gatt said: "Rita's Boy, who has won 16 at Wenty, and Smoking Road, who has won 10, have just become eligible for masters races so this will be their first appearance in one of these events.
"Smoking Road is going a bit better than Rita's Boy at present but it is hard to pick between them because Rita's Boy, who has box eight, has the better draw.
"Smoking Road's hope is probably to miss the kick and dive onto the rails, and he is quite capable of doing that.''
Saturday night's best value bet should be Kiarni Mask, who has drawn the rails in race three, the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.
Kiarni Mask has been runner-up in five of his 11 Wentworth Park starts and gets his chance to break through in Saturday night's "quiet'' race after coming up with box one.
Trainer Tom Roche said: "Kiarni Mask has been racing well but the box draws have not been favouring him.
"After his second placing behind Galaxy Banner last Saturday night at Wentworth Park Kiarni Mask pulled up really well, he looked exceptional the next morning, bouncing around all over the place.
"Most of his training since has comprised free galloping on the 330 metre slipping track I have on my 10 acre property at Kew, near Port Macquarie.
"Although Kiarni Mask has not previously won from box one, give me that draw anytime.''
Last Saturday night's group 1 Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg winner Zipping Bailey (pictured winning the Group 1 final) returns to Wentworth Park on Saturday night in an intriguing 520m Free-For-All.
Zipping Bailey has box seven and while the small field of six will suit her "come from behind'' style of racing. With the scratching of Dual Keroma, Tap Out Dusty, who looks certain to be the pacemaker from box one, looks the obvious danger.
Tap Out Dusty began only fairly from box two but mustered speed quickly to lead at the first turn and win by four lengths in 29.79, fastest time of the night, at Wentworth Park on April 17.
