Participants are reminded that nominations for the 2019 Gold Muzzle Auction will open on Monday, March 18.
Open to pups whelped between July 1, 2018 and January 31, 2019, and restricted to a maximum of just 150 nominations, pups will be auctioned at the 2019 Gold Muzzle Auction to be staged at Richmond Racetrack on Sunday, June 23.
Mark Duclos, Managing Director of GMA, said the enquiry level since the announcement of the Auction had far and away exceded all expectations.
"I've fielded phone calls and enquiries on a daily basis from Breeders in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and of course NSW since we released details of the Auction, and I can tell you some of the pups that people are looking to enter in the Auction, are amongst the best bred greyhounds you could hope to attract," Duclos said.
Pups sold at the Auction will be eligible to nominate for two Golden Muzzle race series' that will be conducted in 2020, which the feature event at Wentworth Park offering $40,000 to the winner of the final.
