SOME trainers go a lifetime without winning a treble but 24-year-old Ricky Brewer achieved that milestone at Bathurst on Monday - less than two years since becoming a trainer.
Brewer won 307m races with Recognize and Mighty Senor, and landed a 450m event with Nandor Junior, who led throughout to upset hot favourite I'm Ballows.
The Llandilo-based trainer was unlucky not to snare a fourth victory as his Soldiers Saddle semi-finalist Live On Tour set up a narrow early lead but was badly hampered when attempting to reach the rails from his box seven draw and finished down the course.
Live On Tour had led all the way to defeat boom puppy About The South in his Soldiers Saddle heat a week earlier and the front-runner will be nominated for Wentworth Park shortly.
Brewer plumped for Nandor Junior as the best of his three Monday winners, saying: "He is going to develop into a nice dog and his win at Bathurst didn't surprise me, he has been trialling really well.
"Nandor Junior is still struggling to run a solid 520m but I think he will get stronger because he is only a baby, he was whelped in March last year.
"I am a roof plumber but have always wanted to become a full-time greyhound trainer.
"Thanks to the support I get from my wife Caitlyn, and terrific owners such as Dean Hanckel and my boss at work, Matthew Knobbs, I am on my way.
"Currently I am working two days a week at the plumbing job as Matthew Knobbs has become interested in greyhound racing and is buying dogs for me to train.
"He owns Nandor Junior and bought Mighty Senor, who is just an average dog, for $2500.
"My brother Daniel trained greyhounds and after working for leading trainer Jason Mackay as well as spending time employed in kennels in NEW ZEALAND he was able to give me plenty of advice.''

MYRNIONG And All smashed the 350m record in his all-the-way win in Tuesday's Ladbrokes Fireball at Goulburn but there are no plans to test the dog over longer distances.
Trained at Bacchus Marsh by former Sydneysider Anthony Azzopardi, Myrniong And All took his record to a remarkably consistent 10 wins and three placings from 13 starts with his Goulburn win.
"He is a really good sprinter but I doubt he will ever be able to run a strong 500 metres plus,'' Azzopardi said.
"Myrniong And All has run quick times over 425m but even in those races he has been fading at the finish.
"He is a very good Country Cups greyhound and I'm happy to keep him in short course races at this stage.''

Scientific Man (pictured) not only gave Bringelly trainer Mark Wilcox his third Goulburn Cup success on Tuesday but continued the astonishing success of progeny of his brood bitch Winning Shiraz.
She was the dam of Wilcox's previous Goulburn Cup winners Knocka's Return and Natural Player and 13 of her offspring have now won 202 races.
The Cup victory was Scientific Man's 14th from 24 starts, which includes eight placings, but he has a long way to go to match the performances of his trainer's previous Goulburn Cup winners Knocka's Return and Natural Player, who won 41 and 34 races respectively.
Other Winning Shiraz pups to reach double figures have been Highly Respected (27 wins), Sweetwater Boy (14), Burning Fuel (13), Combined Effort (12) and Cosmic Blend and Buster Shiraz, with 11 each.
Winning Shiraz's daughters are breeding on too, as Vansittart, a finalist in Monday's Bathurst RSL Soldiers Saddle, is out of Coonawarra Gold, who won eight races, and was produced by Winning Shiraz.
