JODIE Lagogiane, who took out the inaugural GRNSW Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase with Mystic Riot (pictured), has another hot prospect on her hands in 25 months old youngster Double Back.
After winning his heat of the rich Steeline Riverstone Maiden Classic at Richmond in 30.97sec, Double Back led throughout to win Friday night's final in a nippy 30.82 for the 535m.
"Double Back's owners bought him as a puppy and I began training him a couple of months back,'' Lagogiane said.
"He has kept improving with each run and while he is still learning he has a future because he is capable of clocking quick early splits and that's a big asset.''
Last Friday Double Back's first and second splits were 5.20 15.39sec, fastest sectionals of the meeting, exceptional for a maiden final winner.

MUDGEE trainer Peter Carr is on top of the world following the dazzling win of his home-bred youngster Jimmy Casey at Richmond on Friday night.
Having his first start, Jimmy Casey railed to the lead at the first turn and led from that point, scoring comfortably in 30.52sec, fastest time of the meeting.
Those figures bettered the time posted by Love You More, a recent quick Wentworth Park winner, who led all the way in 30.63sec.
"I am pretty excited about this litter because Jimmy Casey's brothers, Charlie Casey and Eddy Casey, also have plenty of ability, in fact Charlie Casey is as good as Jimmy Casey,'' Carr said.
"Charlie Casey was unplaced at Richmond at his only start, on November 23, but he is usually a good beginner and I think the occasion got to him because he missed the kick.
"I am planning to nominate Eddy Casey, who is unraced, and Charlie Casey, for heats of a maiden event at Wentworth Park this month, and will trial them there on Tuesday night so they know their way around the track.
"Jimmy Casey is named after my father while his brothers were called Charlie and Eddy, so I am getting a real buzz out of seeing these young dogs showing so much promise.''
Carr enjoyed plenty of success a few years back with Chamuco, who won 16 races, while her sons Danny Casey and Barney Casey, which Carr also trained, notched 17 wins between them.
Jimmy Casey was produced by El Casey, a daughter of Josey Casey, another of Chamuco's progeny.

GREYHOUNDS owned or trained in NSW stole the show in Thursday night's heats of the group 1 Brisbane Cup at Albion Park.
Miss Splendamiro, owned here but trained in Victoria by David Geall, set the time standard for the 520m, stopping the clock at 29.77sec.
The Grafton owned and trained Cosmic Bonus, who took out the $100,000 Masters Meteor at Wentworh Park on Million Dollar Chase night, won his heat in 29.92.
NSW-owned Dyna Chancer Chased home Haster Slowly in 30.00 while Not Available, trained in Victoria for two NSW western districts owner, landed the other heat in 30.13.
