Pink night celebrates 10 years

December 4 is set to be a big night at the Gosford Greyhound Club, as the community will celebrate the 10th year of the Raelee Shearer Pink Ribbon Fundraising meet.

Marking a decade in existence, the meeting will see plenty of action on and off the track, all the while raising awareness for women’s cancers.

There is set to be a full 11 race program, with the Pink Ribbon Stakes, open to bitches only, being the feature event on the night.

The feature race will incorporate a Kids Parade, where children will hold a placard with a greyhounds name and box number who will parade with the trainers and greyhounds when walking onto the track for the race.

Off the track, there will be a raffle, lucky dips, activities for the kids, bistro, pink dessert, bar and betting facilities along with a best dressed competition for women and men who dress in pink.

For those not attending the race meet, there is still the opportunity to pledge your support here.

All money raised from the night will be presented to Cancer Council NSW to support its work with patients and families who have been affected by this breast cancer.
