PHEASANTS Nest trainer Jenny Brown's winning treble at Goulburn on Thursday brought back memories of the run of success the former policewoman had enjoyed at that course nearly 20 years ago.
On Thursday Brown won heats of the 350m Novice Stakes with Bonsai Jenmar in 20.15sec, Jenmar Classic in 20.20 and William George, who clocked 20.22.
"I had not won a treble for a long time but Goulburn has always been a good track for me,'' Brown said.
"When Goulburn was a non-TAB course racing on Saturday afternoons, I often won three or four races on the day.
"Before last Thursday my most successful TAB meeting was when I trained four winners at Nowra.
"But in those days I had a lot more dogs in work, and at present the only greyhounds I have racing are the three who won at Goulburn and Fabrelass, who has won twice at Wentworth Park.
"Bonsai Jenmar and Jenmar Classic are very 'clingy' with me and when the final is held at Goulburn I will have to make sure I am in the catching pen waiting for them when their race is over.
"If they can't see me in the pen they are inclined to be reluctant to go in.''

Fantastic Dotty caused a sensation three years ago when she broke the Dapto record in a 520m Maiden Final and she looks set to take up where she left off on the racetrack as a producer.
Fantastic Yankee, a member of her first litter, whelped in December, 2016 to American sire KC And All, made a stunning first public appearance at Dapto on Thursday night.
Despite being skittled soon after the start, Fantastic Yankee strode to the lead going through the catching pen and won his 520m performance trial by seven lengths in a slick 30.19, posting a tidy second split of 17.17sec.
Fantastic Yankee and his untried litter brothers Fantastic Bronx and Fantastic Axel are trained by their breeder and owner Jason Fletcher.
When she broke the track record, Fantastic Dotty (pictured) clocked 29.34, after having won her Maiden heat a week earlier in a close to unequalled time of 29.43sec.
Fantastic Dotty is a daughter of Light Fantastic, who is also the dam of Fletcher's recent WP winner Fantastic Winnie and of the unraced Fantastic Hope, who led all the way to win a Dapto performance trial last Thursday in a nippy 30.14sec.
Light Fantastic had only 18 starts for six wins, which included a fast 42.16 win over 717m at Richmond and a slick 42.40 victory over 720m at Wentworth Park.
"She had untold ability but had a mind of her own so I retired her and kept her for breeding,'' Jason Fletcher said.

Canya Ayden took his earnings to $42,000 when he won at Wentworth Park last Wednesday night, not bad for a $3500 purchase as a performed greyhound.
Owned and trained by Glen McKinley, Canya Ayden won four of his first dozen races at Cannington, WA, and at three Victorian provincial tracks, before the Agnes Bank owner-trainer made the astute purchase.
"Canya Ayden has now won three races at Wentworth Park and been placed there 11 times so has been a great buy,'' McKinley said.
"I must admit that before last Wednesday I was wondering when he was going to jag another win as he had finished second or third in 10 of his previous 13 starts.
"Canya Ayden is a dream greyhound to train, he gives 100 per cent every time he steps onto the track, has a lovely nature, and thrives on racing.
"If I race him on Wednesday he will back up and perform equally as well the following Saturday.''
