Tammy Parker, who ran her rivals off their legs with a slick front-running performance over 720m at Wentworth Park last Wednesday night, is the daughter of a brood bitch who was a gift to trainer Stuart Hazlett.
Having only her seventh start, Tammy Parker, who turns three in October, came out running and led throughout to win a mixed stakes in a moderate 43.24sec.
"Tammy Parker was not entitled to be a $16 chance as she was coming off a 618m win at Richmond and in one of her previous Wenty 720m races she was skittled when going fast with a lap to go,'' trainer Hazlett said.
"Her dam Where's The Cast is from a very good litter which included the Paul Ballantine-owned Silver Label, who won 28 races for trainer Syd Swain, and Royal Runner, who I trained successfully early in her career before she was sold and went to NEW ZEALAND where she was a big race winner.
"Where's The Cast damaged a foot as a puppy and could not be raced so Paul Ballantine presented her to me as a brood bitch.
"I mated her with Bekim Bale, in an attempt to infuse her offspring with stamina, and with Tammy Parker it has reaped dividends.''

ALAN Pringle's firm belief that the best producing females are those that have been lightly raced continues to pay off with Swiss Maestro scoring an outstanding first-up Wentworth Park win last Wednesday night.
Trained by Steven Jones at ORANGE, Swiss Maestro seemed to be a little lost when he ran wide on the first turn corner, where he was in third position, but regained his balance to be second on the back straight.
The son of My Bro Fabio (pictured) and Pringle's bitch My Kinda Music then drove hard along the rails to hit the front approaching the home bend, coming right away to win by eight lengths in a slick 30.20sec.
"He had trialled 30.18 at Wenty and is very strong at the finish, he could wind up as a stayer,'' Swiss Maestro's trainer Jones said later.
"Alan Pringle has always identified the talented race bitches he believed would become good producers so he retired My Kinda Music after she had only 21 races.''
My Kinda Music won 11 of those outings, posting blistering times of 29.69, 29.75 and 29.89 at Wentworth Park in March and April 2014.
Her latest litter to My Bro Fabio includes Swiss Maestro, the Melbourne-trained Oops A Daisy, who has won three of seven starts, and Pringle's own greyhound My Kinda Song, a star of the recent Grafton carnival.
My Kinda Song was a luckless third in a heat of the Taylor Family/Clarence Valley Sheds Maiden Classic on debut before winning over 407m there in 23.21, fastest time of the night, and 23.25.

TOP grade Wentworth Park sprinter Blazin' Carter and his kennelmate Queen Audrey, another talented greyhound, will do their future racing in NEW ZEALAND.
Blazin' Carter won eight of 27 starts and Queen Audrey was successful in 10 of 61 NSW outings but owner-trainer Carole Eaton has transferred the duo to the Shaky Isles' number one trainer Lisa Cole (nee Ahern).
"Because of the way they race I don't think I was getting the best out of Blazin' Carter and Queen Audrey and I believe they will thrive behind the finish-on lure which operates on all NEW ZEALAND tracks,'' Eaton said.

WHEN young trainer Bradley Barnes took over the training of Maximum Drive, winner of Wednesday's $5000 to the winner Ladbrokes Maiden Final at Wentworth Park, the dog was a finicky eater.
"He would take a mouthful of food and leave the rest, he would go and lie down or just walk away,'' Barnes said.
"Then I tried putting his food bowl up higher, on a stool in his kennel, and he decided that's how he liked it and began eating normally.''
A wise old trainer once told me 'you have to get inside a greyhound's head to have success' and Barnes' ploy with Maximum Drive would seem to bear that contention out.
