Buck's Future made full use of box one in toppling favourite Finale at Wentworth Park on July 4 and trainer Dean Swain expects the dog to complete the double after drawing the rails again on Saturday night.
Buck's Future will wear the red rug in race two, a 520m fifth grade, and as a dual winner at headquarters looks well placed in this class of race.
"He is a really good railer who needs box one,'' Swain said.
"Buck's Future drives up hard along the fence between the starting boxes and the first turn and so should be hard to beat.
"I also have Nerve Lika Thief in box four in this race but while he has ability he is extremely clumsy.
"And he will probably help Buck's Future get a clear run because Nerve Lika Thief is likely to run in the middle of the track.''
Swain also likes the chances of Alotta Talk, who has box five in race three, a 720m fourth and fifth grade, and Big Bender, drawn in six in race five, a fourth and fifth class event over 520m.
"My only concern with Big Bender is his wide draw,'' Swain said.
"People seem to think he wants an outside box because he has won four races from boxes seven and eight but he has won despite those draws, not because of them.
"At his most recent start at Wentworth Park Big Bender had box two and he finished second to True Talent who clocked flying time of 29.77 to win.
"Big Bender recorded 29.87 getting beaten which is the fastest time he has clocked at Wenty.
"He is very fit but I would be more confident if he had drawn an inside box.''
The Tony Messina-trained Splinters is among Wentworth Park's most improved sprinters but he takes on Free-For-All class on Saturday night.
Splinters was a luckless fourth in this grade at Wentworth Park on June 27 before storming home to win a fifth grade, from box one, in a slick 30.16 last Saturday night.
"He has finally learned to rail but I still prefer him boxed wide, Splinters likes being on the outside of the field,'' Messina said.
"For such a big dog, he is just under 35kg, he handles tight tracks very well, in fact Gosford and Dapto are his favourite courses.
"When he wasn't performing at Wentworth Park it had me mystified because if dogs can get around Dapto and Gosford they can usually go well at Wenty.
"But Splinters has finally put it all together.''
Splinters' main danger on Saturday looks to be the Jason Mackay-trained former Victorian True Talent, who was the only greyhound to break 30sec at Wentworth Park last week.
True Talent, having his first start at Wenty, came from fourth early and second going through the pen to lead half-way down the back straight.
He then careered away to defeat Big Bender in 29.77sec.
Good value on Saturday night is the Darren Sultana-trained Secret Of Ours, ideally drawn in box one in race nine, a 520m fifth grade.
Secret Of Ours made the pace from box six before finishing second to Nino De Oro in a tougher fourth grade race at Wentworth Park on June 30.
In winding up one-and-a-half lengths behind the winner, Secret Of Ours produced his best Wentworth Park time of 30.30sec, and he has drawn more suitably this week.
